A website redesign for Bike West Hartford, a non-profit organization that advocates for a more bicycle and pedestrian friendly environment in the town of West Hartford, CT in cooperation with the local community. Their primary focus is the development of bicycle infrastructure and education within West Hartford and surrounding communities. Key programs include:
Center Streets: bike-and pedestrian-only festivities in West Hartford Center on a Sunday morning in late August where streets are closed to traffic.
Cycling Without Age: volunteers provide rickshaw rides for elderly people in nursing homes and senior centers.
The previous website was difficult to follow and not engaging for younger users. The overall design needed to be engaging, energetic, and upbeat.
